How can I help at ISC?
Parent Teams
We are consistently working on various projects to support the school. If you have skills or interests in sports, painting, costume making, public speaking, music, mentorship, environmental solutions – and beyond ! - chances are we have a Team working in collaboration with the school and could use your assistance.
Below are the current Parent Teams operating in the school, a short description of their function.

Your volunteer efforts are welcome in any capacity – even if it is to parent chaperon.
A volunteer team is a group of members of the ISC community, led by a parent volunteer, who collaborates with ISC teachers and staff to enrich our school community. Any ISC parent, including class representatives, may volunteer to serve or lead a committee.
The Cafeteria Team
Makes recommendations to ISC management and canteen suppliers for improving the health, quality and variety of food served and to help communicate the changing tastes across the student body.
CAS/ Service as Action
Parents interested in supporting ISC teachers (in charge of CAS) and students taking action by locating resources, helping students plan their actions and sending volunteer actions already occurring in the community to students to consider joining. Also promotes ideas of volunteerism within the community.
Events
Creates events for teachers, parents, students and our wider school community in the form of regular lunches, aperitivo, holiday events and other special activities involving the school or school community.
Hiking
For parents interested in hiking, every Wednesday parents gather and do easy walks to more high impact hikes.
Career Talks
Among the parents are many accomplished and diverse backgrounds from Academics and Business to Arts and Science.
This committee creates regular speaking sessions for upper MYP/DP students.
Arts Team
Recruits artistic resources to make simple art-based programs which support ISC teachers and school programs.
Includes mural painting, set design, costume coordination and making, carpentry, art hanging and more!
Sports
Parents passionate about sport willing to help with sports events (water stations, first aid stations) and to work with the school to increase sports offerings and children’s participation.
Music
Parents who are skilled or have a passion for music to support ISC music efforts. This committee can help assist event set up/take down, connect kids with music opportunities within the Italian community, create a stronger network of musicians/musicality within the school and even plan informal music concerts afterschool with students/teachers etc.
